Digg, the gorgeous app with a unique combination of social news and RSS reader capabilities, has hit the Android platform!
The Android version works like its Web-based ancestor. Users can browse through the list of the best linked stories posted on the app’s homepage, administered by the folks behind the app. Just swipe across the screen to navigate through stories, which can be shown in the Web or parsed-text view.
You can browse through top stories, sort content by popularity, include new feeds, organize your personal folders. You can even save your desired stories and send them to Instagram or Pocket apps, and share through Email, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Dropbox, Tumblr, text, Buffer or WordPress.
You can also join the Digg Reader, the newly launched RSS reader that was developed as a substitute for the renowned Google Reader. Just log in with your Facebook, Twitter or Google account to join the Digg Reader service.
Android users can download the Digg app from Google Play Store for free. It is compatible with devices running on Android version 2.2 or above.
