Feedly for Android Brings Support for KitKat

Feedly has revealed a significant update to its Android app, adding a slew of performance tweaks and new features.

The revamped version is now 300% faster than the former versions, and the scrolling experience has also been enhanced. The update also brings a new ‘discover’ section and better visual designs and fonts.

The update also includes a new widget and supports the recently launched Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Moreover, the app has also been optimized for Android KitKat (the forthcoming Android OS).

The update also brings the following features to the app:

  • Search in my feedly (pro)
  • Enhancements to feed search
  • There is no auto-refresh upon restart
  • Incorporates new Facebook SDK
  • Support for Dash clock

The company says that the iOS update has been submitted to Apple for approval, and will arrive soon in the App Store.

The revamped version of Feedly is downloadable via Google Play Store for free. The app is compatible with devices that run on Android version 2.2 and above.
