Google Play Books Now Lets You Upload Your Books Directly from Your Android Device

Google has launched a minor revamp for its Play Books app for Android, bringing it to version 3.1.17. This latest version includes a couple of new features and enhancements. Specifically, the app now provides you the ability to upload your desired books to Google Play right from your device.

Firstly, the app’s performance has been enhanced. Now the books will open smoother and faster than before. The reading experience has also been spruced up by providing a lower floor limit for brightness setting and support for landscape mode, which perfectly fits larger-screen devices. Moreover, stability and performance have also been upgraded.

The update also brings a new upload support. Previously, users were only having the ability to upload their book from their computers to Play Books. Now, you can also upload your books right from your device. Just click on the file from downloads/email and then select ‘Upload to Play Books’ option, which syncs your stuff across all of your devices powered by Android. But EPUB and PDF file formats are only supported currently.
