Just a couple of days ago, Microsoft has rolled out a significant Skype update for its iPhone and iPad versions. Today, the company has come up with a major Skype update for Android.

Firstly, the update brings a completely modernized interface for tablet users (this is also compatible with Amazon’s Kindle Fire HDX and HD tablets, however, kindle-specific update will be launched soon). According to the company, the app puts conversations first, showcasing your most recent calls and chats.

The update also brings User Experience improvements with the ability to toggle orientation. The app also gets performance and quality enhancements – now the videos and calls are much clear with high-resolution than before. The company says that the current version has up to 4 times the resolution of the former versions.

Furthermore, the update brings enhancements to the TalkBack Screen to provide complete support, and also spruced up audio routing.
