Twitter has unveiled a new application specially built for Android tablets. For now, this new app is only available for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition) users, and the folks at Twitter have ensured that the other Android tablet users can get their hands on the app by the end of this year.
The tablet version leverages the larger-display to pleasantly show your conversations, tweets and many in a landscape view. When you click on a tweet, it expands to the right hand side of the screen to display preview. With another tap, you will be able to view images, text content, read links, and play videos from the web in fullscreen mode.
Twitter says that it has teamed up with Samsung to include few unique features to the app, including a new multi-screen view, tweet illustration functionality, and a new widget.
The newly added multi-screen view allows users to browse their Twitter stream while also running other apps at the same time. While the new widget lets you browse your stream without having to open the app. Moreover, it also allows you view videos, photos, and even retweet and favorite.
Finally comes the tweet illustration feature. It allows you to create and tweet vibrant illustrations or doodle/draw on your images using the Samsung’s ‘S-Pen’ to post on Twitter.
