Flickr iOS App gets updated with Hashtag Support

Flickr being one popular photo sharing App in recent years has received a new update that brings in supports for hashtags.


With the latest update to Flickr existing version, users are now allowed to add a tag on their photo’s title and photo description. By just tapping on the title or description of your photo, the App will automatically start searching for the public photos that carry the similar hashtags.

The concept of hashtags was primarily introduced in Twitter in the year 2007 and after that the hashtags concept was implemented in other few social media sites like Tumblr, Instagram and Google+. There are rumors spreading out that hashtags will be soon integrated with Facebook as well.
