Google releases the completely redesigned version of its Google Drive iOS app. Now the app offers a new-look that simulates the card-style layout, including other minor upgrades.
The latest version lets users to toggle back and forth between the new card-style thumbnail layout and the standard list view. Now all your folders and files are also grouped together more intuitively, so that you can easily find all your important documents.
You can also grab links for any file you want to share through text message or email. For this, just fire up the details pane for the given file, choose ‘Get link’, then the app adds that to your clipboard automatically.
This time, Google has also focused on Search. Now you can encounter Search on the forefront of the app, which brings an easy discoverability through the whole of cloud-based storage service.
The updated version of Google Drive is available in the Apple App Store for free. The app works with devices running on iOS version 6.0 or above.
