Newsy Goes Universal, Receiving Support for iPad

The free news video app on iOS, Newsy has been updated to version 2.1. With the revamp, the app has just gone universal, with interfaces for iPhone and iPad powered by iOS 7. Alongside iPad support the update also brings several performance and interface tweaks.


In a nutshell, Newsy app was released on iOS in September 2009, which was optimized for iPhone and iPod touch. Whereas in 2010, an exclusive iPad edition was rolled out. Later on iPhone version was overhauled for iOS 7, but the iPad version was not.

As it turns out, iPad edition need not to be revamped and overhauled at all, since Newsy has gone universal, receiving support for iPad and iPad mini. Not just the iPad support, the update also brings a new iOS 7-inspired design for both iPad and iPad mini interface. iPad users will love the whole new interface.

Lastly, the update also includes a lot of performance and interface tweaks that provides a much better user experience.
