Pocket has just revealed a new version of its Read-it-Later app for iOS. The revamped version includes a new streamlined navigation and a Highlights section among other significant features.
The app brings a new Highlights section, which uses the app’s insights to present the best and the most relevant data that’s already available in your archive. This section is split into unique categories like Quick Reads, Trending, Best of, and Long Reads. These filters are added to help you pick the right content effortlessly.
The more you use the app, the more the Highlights section learns what you like and presents dynamic categories that are often updated to suit your desired authors, sites, and other interests.
The update also brings a new streamlined navigation that makes it much easier to use the app. You can directly get to your Highlights section, Tags, List, Favorites and Archive, and smoothly filter your data regardless where you are in the list. The app also features an ‘Inbox’ section to view the content that has been shared to you.
The user experience has also been enhanced, which offers you a smooth way to find anything in your list, whether it’s in your collection or unread. Moreover, you will now encounter bigger video tiles than before.
The update also brings Pocket Preferences, a new service that lets 3rd party apps as well as websites to learn your reading preferences in order to better suggest content to you. Furthermore, with the new Bulk Edit option, you can make your desired modifications across several items in one go.
While the update for Android version is scheduled to launch on 20 November.
