Readability, the popular read-later app on iOS, has been reworked from the scratch for iOS 7. Simultaneously, the app has also been revamped with a highly-requested feature called ‘Recommendations’.
As mentioned before, the app has been completely modernized with a new design built from the ground that matches the visual style of iOS 7. The interface is now simple and flat and includes some nifty animations and gestures for navigation.
Alongside the new design, the update also brings Recommendations section. This is a replacement to the app’s Top Reads section. The company says that this section allows you to find unique articles hand-picked by the members of the Readability community. As a community member, you will also be able to recommend significant articles to your followers.
In order to use this feature, you need to follow at least one of the members suggested by the service. Then you can you can encounter the articles recommended by those you follow. Other users can also follow you and view your Recommendations on their Recommended lists.
For creating a Recommendation, just click the ‘broadcast’ icon available within the options menu for an article, and then select an article and click on Recommend. Your recipients can read that right away or save to read it later.
Moreover, the update also brings a new Profile tab, which features your profile page along with sections for those you follow, your recommended content and your followers. It also has an option that allows you to edit the name, email and bio for your profile. Furthermore, the revamp also brings better speed, syncing, and reliability.
