Microsoft has rolled out a new version of its SkyDrive Pro iOS app, bringing mobile editing support.
Microsoft has released the SkyDrive Pro app on iOS back in June, which only allowed business users to access and view their files/documents stored in SharePoint Online. But now, iOS users have scored access to mobile editing.
All your edited content will remain in the native source location on the SharePoint Online in Office 365. In other words, you can now smoothly edit your Word, PowerPoint, OneNote and Excel documents without any need to manually upload/download them when you are done. This is indeed achieved through a connection between the iOS version and other Office-related apps.
Here’s the complete changelog of the SkyDrive Pro latest version:
- Integration with the Office web and mobile apps for editing your MS Office documents.
- Also integrated with OneNote app for editing and viewing your notebooks.
- Other bug fixes.
This is definitely a welcome update for the dedicated users of different Microsoft products. The latest version of SkyDrive Pro is available in the Apple App Store for free. The app works with devices powered by iOS 6.0 or above.
