Skype, the popular voice and video calling service has come with an update called Skype 5.2 for the iPhone app. Microsoft has added some features in this version which were earlier removed and one of them is voice messaging support.
Microsoft said that it has been reading all the user suggestions and feedback and came to the decision to reintroduce some of the earlier features. With the latest version, iPhone users will be able to send and receive voice messages to their friends and these messages will also appear in then conversation. Another new feature which this version of Skype will be having is that the profile feature will be accessible from the menu itself and from there; users will be able to edit their name, location and Birthday etc.
Microsoft Skype 5.2 will also enable users to initiate a one-to-one conversation by tapping on the name of the contact. To add more users to an already existing conversation, users will need to go to the menu and click on the option of ‘Add participants’. Some other features include ability to edit a message, ability to delete a chat and Skype only contact filter facility.
