The SuperValu has today launched its first ever shopping App for its Irish customers and the App allows its users in Ireland to perform shopping with their smart-phones.
It is reported that Irish consumers spend E4 billion on online shopping every year and it is expected that th figure may raise to E21 by the end of 2017 as large number of consumers turn out to purchase through their mobiles.
The App consist a wide range of features such as enhanced ability to scan the product’s barcode through a mobile and purchase it directly from home or work place. Users can even checkout the product’s ingredients and other nutritional information related to the product.
The real reward’s loyalty card provided by the SuperValu can be used to gather points while making purchases and points can be later redeemed in to money. Users can even avail similar kind of promotional offers, discounts and free shipping services that are offered by the physical stores.
Edel Russell, the consumer and IT director at SuperValu has stated that “ we have designed the App to help-out our customers to shop any time and the company implements wider digital strategy to stay connected with their 110,000 shoppers through Facebook, SMS and email”.
The App can be downloaded for free from the official Google Play store for android-powered devices and iOS users can download the App at iTunes store.
