Layar has unleashed a new version of its augmented reality app for iOS and Android. The update brings a bunch of new features, including the ability to scan QR codes.
The latest version has been completely refreshed with a clear look and improved navigation. This makes it much easier to quickly discover your way around the app without much strain, and you will be able to get to your AR scanning much snappier than ever before.
Additionally, with the new ‘Recent Content’ option, you can revisit formerly viewed AR content at any time you want. The company says that no other similar apps offer this feature. It’s always good to have access to the former content if you need that information again at some point.
The update also brings the ability to scan any QR code with the app, and a simplified Geo Layer section for your convenience.
Not just the mobile versions, but the Layer official website has also been redesigned. The company says that it serves as a one-stop entry to learn about interactive print, Layar and augmented reality.
iOS and Android users can download the latest version of Layar app from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store respectively. The app is available for free on both the platforms. While you can check out the web version from here.
