The popular note-taking service Evernote has just unleashed an update to its Windows Desktop app with a couple of notable features: First, users will now have the ability to annotate picture as well as screenshots that are featured within their notes using a smart Skitch-like annotation tool. Second, faster sync.
Firstly, with the new image annotation tool, you can annotate all your desired images, photos, and screenshots seamlessly. You can annotate the ones that you have in your account, including web pages that you have clipped and the photos that are snapped using Evernote service on your device.
When you mouse over a photo, you will encounter an annotation button at the top right corner. Just tap on it and open the Annotation Tool. Using this, you can point out something with stamps and arrows, include text and elegant shapes, or resize/crop the image. Once you are done, close the window and your content gets updated with the annotated image.
Secondly, you will now find a major enhancement in the sync performance. Besides these 2 major additions, the update also includes upgraded stability and the company has made the service better for new users.
