The update adds a new dark theme to the app. You can now opt to choose between a dark and light theme. Also, you are now allowed to select particular accounts to get notifications when you receive a tweet from them. Furthermore, you can also pin keyword searches to your device’s home screen for a smoother access.

The update also brings an impressive lockscreen experience, which features all of your interesting tweets on your home screen. Moreover, you can now sync your DM status to the Windows 8 app as well as Twitter.com.

At the time of account registration, the app offers you suggestions for friends and other people to follow. In addition, you can now easily surface content with enhanced Search and Discover functionality.

Last but not least, the update provides support for 13 different languages (total 54 languages) for translations of unfamiliar languages. You can now easily communicate with people from different regions in different languages, directly from the app.

The latest version of Twitter is available in the Windows Phone Store for free. The app works with both Windows Phone 7.5 and 8.
