Hamrick software, the developer of well-known VueScan has introduced the free version of VueScan Mobile App for the Android platform. Earlier to this, VueScan Mobile app was launched for iOS devices in the year 2011.
This is a free mobile app and can be used easily. Just press the scan button, your document will be appeared on your iPod touch, iPad, iPhone, or Android device.
The app requires a WiFi connection on your device to search the scanners which are connected to the network same as that of your device. If there is a document feeder in your scanner, first the app checks whether there is any document in the document feeder or not, or else it scans from the flatbed.
The app lets the users in scanning their images and documents to their devices from any canon, HP, or epson wireless printer or scanner. This app also lets the users to save their scanned photos to their preferred apps which can open JPEG or PDF files. The app is compatible with the devices running with Android 2.3 or later versions, including the Android phones with little memory.
Partner at Hamrick Software, Ed Hamrick said that they have introduced VueScan Mobile for Apple devices in the year 2011, and after its release, they have received several requests for Android platform. They are very happy for introducing support for Android devices.
Android users can now download the free app from Play Store, Amazon Appstore and from the website http://www.hamrick.com.
VueScan Mobile app full version is now available for iOS devices for $4.99 in the App Store and for the Amazon and Android App Stores, paid version will be released shortly.
